May Books offers stylish and functional notebooks for a number of occasions ~ the “He Loves Me!” wedding planner ($15) is the perfect place to keep track of all the preparations for your big day.
May Books came about from a husband and wife team: Mica’s the creative half (she thinks “Life is too short for ugly notebooks”) and Jonathan’s the practical half (he’s all about function).
The “He Loves Me!” planner is a small (5.5″ by 8.5″) softcover notebook that can easily slip into a purse or briefcase. The canvas cover is Green-E Certified and waterproof, and the sewn binding is 100% eco-friendly.
A lot of wedding planners are huge, like the spiral-bound behemoths that remind me of Trapper Keepers from grade school. You might think you need all that space, but I think the streamlined efficiency of this May Books notebook is one of its most attractive features.
You can start your wedding planning with your wedding budget. The first two pages of “He Loves Me!” contain a spreadsheet with a variety of wedding categories so you can fill in your budget as well as the vendor quote and the actual amount spent.
In addition to 80 blank pages on which you can write anything, the notebook has pages dedicated specifically to everything from the invitation suite to transportation notes, as well as pages for one month before, two weeks before, one week before and day of notes.
