Sara has been married for about a year, but she never had bridal portraits done. Enter Taylor Rae Photography! They went to the beautiful, moss-draped Charlestowne Landing in West Ashley, South Carolina, and captured some really striking photos of Sara in her gorgeous dress!

Emily awoke before the break of dawn for her bridal session in Nashville with Kristin Sweeting Photography. In the early morning light, with the mist rolling off the water, Emily looks like a fairytale character. Her red hooded peacoat was a fun addition, too!

Claire’s bridal session took place last September in her hometown of Suwanee, Georgia, just minutes away from her parents’ home. Laura, of Laura Barnes Photo, has been friends with Claire through high school and college, so she was thrilled to have the chance to photograph her bridal session. Laura’s father made the wood dresser himself ~ love it! Even more exciting, Claire is in the process of starting her own letterpress business, Hyde & Seek Letterpress, and printed her own invitations!

Whitney’s family are cotton farmers in Alabama, so her wedding was in a field of freshly bloomed cotton. She returned to the field for a special bridal portrait session with her friends at the element of {PHOTOGRAPHY}. I love Whitney’s fun and carefree disposition ~ after all, how many brides do you see swinging on a tire swing?

Sisters Bridal Styled Shoot

This dreamy, vintage-inspired styled shoot is a very personal project for the photographer, Heather of gemmer photography. It took her months to plan (and lots of wonderful vendors to help out), but the result is an ambitious and intimate shoot that portrays the bond between sisters in a unique way. Heather says, My dear friend and design assistant, Rachael Driscoll, collaborated with me on this project! We both have a dear bond with our own sisters, so we started brainstorming. We wanted the session to be playful, yet dreamy and other-worldly… with a touch of Jane Eyre-like scenery and dainty sophistication mixed with the delightful abandon of youth.

Many of the amazing vintage props come from Heather’s personal collection, and she made the headpieces by hand! Don’t you love the sisters’ pillow fight?

{bridal portraits} A Military Wife

Doreen Kline Photography shared this sweet bridal portrait session that was done gratis by local vendors in Naples, Florida, for a couple separated by military service. Doreen says, Brittany is a military wife currently living in Germany. She and her husband Jeff had a whirlwind romance and married in a small ceremony near the military base Fort Bragg in Georgia ten days before he was deployed. Her husband now is in Afghanistan. While visiting her mom recently, she had elegant bridal portraits and a romantic video done with her in her wedding gown. Jeff saw the fabulous images and video on the internet and loved them.
