{real couple} Lani + Kevin’s Breakfast at Tiffany’s Engagement

Lani and Kevin’s engagement session with Danfredo Photography was inspired by Breakfast at Tiffany’s! They had to reschedule the session four times due to circumstances beyond their control, but the results were well worth the wait.

I’ve been in love with Breakfast at Tiffany’s and Audrey Hepburn since I first saw them back in the day. I might even have moved to NYC because of that movie. (Not really, but it was definitely in the back of my mind!) Audrey was such a real-life role model and so glamorous. And ours is such a New York love story that when you asked me about a theme, it was the first thing that popped into my head! Under Holly Golightly’s influence, I have amassed about 1,000 little black dresses, and I knew Kevin could be Paul Varjak with no trouble since he’s so well dressed all the time (and he kind of looks like him, don’t you think?). We frequent the areas featured and talked about in the movie in our daily lives. Luckily our love story has gone a little more smoothly than theirs and didn’t involve moving to Brazil or throwing the cat out into the rain (she would have hated that). ~ Lani
