Erin and Joel’s June wedding was a true fairytale, right down to the glass slipper! For a unique twist, though, their reception was at the Vanderbilt Dyer Observatory so they could gaze at the stars on the happiest night of their lives. Joe Hendricks Photography provided these fabulous shots!
Photographers Joe and Rhonda say, Erin and Joel are a fun-loving couple who don’t mind being silly together! They were married in a Gothic-style church built in 1877 and it’s on the National Register of Historic Places. There is a bell tower, and it’s tradition for the couple to ring the bell together immediately following the ceremony. Erin’s gorgeous bright blue color theme is reflected in many areas, including her amazing shoes! Erin and Joel’s favorite place is Disney World. It is where Joel decided he wanted to marry Erin, and he eventually proposed there inside Cinderella’s castle. Disney provided a glass slipper “prop” for the ring to go in, and they had the same slipper encased and on display at their ceremony. Next to the slipper display was an adorable fairytale “storybook” with Erin and Joel’s love story written on it. They also had tiny glass slipper favors filled with navy blue M&Ms. The reception was under a tented pavilion at the Vanderbilt Observatory. The giant telescope was open for all guests to enjoy. It was a very unique venue!
