Bridal Beauty Must-Haves Under $100: Part I

Bridal Beauty Must-Haves Under $100

I have a bit of an addiction. For some people, it’s shoes… for me, it’s beauty products. I’m always trying new things – a bit obsessively, in fact.

I know I’m not alone in my beauty product love, so I thought I’d get input from some other gals who know their stuff! I asked what their must-have beauty product or tool under $100 is and why it’s a great choice for brides-to-be. Here’s what they had to say!

Lissahn DeVance ~ Wrapped Couture: The one beauty item that is a must for me is my Infallible lip gloss by L’Oreal. It comes in numerous shades, costs $8, lasts more than 6 hours and it’s the one product that has done what it promised to do. Also, the perfect lip wear can brighten any smile and more often than not, that’s the ONLY make-up you’ll see me wearing and the only gloss that I wear.

It’s an especially good choice for a bride because it will last the full day of her wedding without the need to continue applying gloss to her lips. For the bridesmaids, the same thing, just without all the kissing. It’s a happy day and one filled with laughter. No need to worry about little things like lip gloss.

About Lissahn: Although I own a gift basket company, Wrapped Couture, I’ve been planning weddings for a long time. I feel that a bride should look like herself on her wedding day but more “polished.” I’ve always felt that make-up should enhance your natural beauty. I believe that there is a way to play with colors and still stay true to your own natural hues and tones. If you’re not used to wearing a lot of make-up, then you shouldn’t put on all of it on your wedding day to the point where you’re barely recognizable. Less is more and to me, make-up should be used as the finishing touches to an outfit instead of a main component.

Lisa Smith ~ Gabbi Grace Events: My absolute number one, can’t live without, favorite product is the Microdermabrasion Set by Mary Kay Cosmetics for $55. I was a Mary Kay independent beauty consultant for almost seven years and out of all the products I’ve tried, this one in particular has minimized fine lines, decreased the size of my pores and has given my skin a beautiful glow. My husband always comments on how soft and smooth my skin is.

I considered having it [microdermabrasion] professionally done; however, it requires several visits to the aesthetician and is very expensive. I love it because I can do it when I feel I need to look refreshed and flawless and because of how good it has my skin looking, I don’t have to use any foundation or concealers – just natural, beautiful skin. It’s affordable, and it can be used on all skin types and shades of skin!

About Lisa: Lisa Smith is a Certified Professional Wedding Planner and owner of Gabbi Grace Events, a full-service wedding and event planning firm in Detroit, Michigan. She is also an instructor teaching the Professional Wedding Planner Certification Course at Macomb Community College in Michigan and co-producer of the Back Stage Bridal Pro Academy to help aspiring and novice wedding planners launch their careers.

Virginie Juan ~ Your Wedding in France: We believe that a stunning bride is a bride who feels comfy! Our must-have product is not makeup or something that people will notice, it’s a magic tool for the bride that will allow her to keep her smile all day long: The Body Shop’s Peppermint Cooling Foot Spray.

This is Your Wedding in France’s secret: We advise every bride to have that little freshener because in less than two minutes, the bride can refresh and lighten up her legs and feet. No more burning sensation because of the heels or painful knees, just take a break and use your secret weapon!

The spray is ideal because you won’t slip in your shoes, and the smell will not be too strong. This product will become your best friend on this very special day, and we bet you will keep it for your working days, too! It really helps you to stay active and fresh. It’s reasonably priced at just $10, so so go for it!

About Virginie: Virginie is a wedding planner for Your Wedding in France, providing creative and professional help to make wedding dreams come true.

Nancy Dawson ~ brideface: My number one must-have product for a bride is MAC Strobe Cream ($15). I use it as a highlighter on her cheekbones and browbones, and it gives that lit from within, radiant glow that photographs beautifully.

About Nancy: Since launching brideface in 2005, Nancy has become one of the most highly sought after makeup artists in Cincinnati. Her loyal clients credit her with not only making them look amazing on the most photographed day of their life, but also for having a calming effect.
